Hornbach offers uncomplicated emergency assistance to flood victims
Bornheim, July 19, 2021. The DIY group Hornbach Baumarkt AG is supporting victims of the flood disaster in the German states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate and in Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Austria with emergency assistance. Until August 14, 2021, the company is granting a 20% flood discount on its entire product range to flood victims at 28 of its DIY stores and garden centers.
“As a company deeply rooted in these regions, we are shocked by the personal hardship and the material damage, in many cases existential, which so many people affected by the floods have suffered. That is why we would like to offer speedy and uncomplicated assistance to people on location”, comments Erich Harsch, CEO of Hornbach Baumarkt AG.
To document that they were affected, flood victims need to show their personal identity cards at the Hornbach store together with, if possible, a filled-out registration form and official confirmation of damages from the local authorities, fire service, or police station. Alternatively, the damage may be evidenced by a photograph. Hornbach will also grant the 20% emergency assistance to customers affected by the floods retrospectively if they already bought or ordered goods before the start of the campaign.
People affected in Germany can find the registration form, further information about the emergency assistance, and advice at Hornbach’s website at: www.hornbach.de. Under the menu item “Mein Markt”, customers must enter the location of the Hornbach store participating in the campaign to be able to view the information relevant to the region and download the registration form.
